Antonino Morici, Sr. Passes Away at 78, Community Mourns Loss

BREAKING: Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr., a beloved community figure and proprietor of Morici’s Restaurant in Easton, PA, has passed away at the age of 78. He died on December 10, 2025, at his home in Palmer Township, surrounded by his family.

Morici, originally from Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, was known for his culinary skills and dedication to his family. He was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, where he contributed not only his time but also his passion for cooking traditional Italian dishes that delighted many.

His family described him as an exceptional cook who took pride in making homemade wine, which he loved to share with friends and relatives. The loss of Morici resonates deeply within the community, especially among his loved ones, including his wife of 54 years, Maria (Galati) Morici, and their three sons: Frank Morici, Santo Morici, and Anthony “Nino” Morici, Jr.. He is also mourned by his grandchildren, who cherished the time they spent with their grandfather.

Calling hours are set for Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA. An additional hour for public viewing will occur the next day, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the same funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 AM on December 18 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA.

Interment will take place following the service at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, located at 520 Cedarville Road, Easton, PA. Memorial contributions in honor of Morici can be made to the Saint Padre Pio Shrine at 111 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504.
