Beloved Handyman Robert C. Buchanan Passes Away at 70

Robert C. Buchanan, affectionately known as Bob, passed away on February 11, 2026, in Olivehurst, California, at the age of 70. Born on October 18, 1955, in Woodland, California, Bob was the son of Margaret Jean and Kenneth Christopher Buchanan. His life was marked by a dedication to service and skill, particularly during his time in the United States Navy.

After graduating from Woodland High School in 1974, Bob joined the Navy, where he served aboard the USS Sterett. His military service not only showcased his commitment to his country but also instilled in him a strong work ethic and a wide array of practical skills. Known for his abilities as a handyman, he built a reputation in his community for his craftsmanship and reliability.

Bob is survived by his sister, Wanda Graham, of Rio Vista, California, along with her husband, Gregory. He leaves behind a nephew, Ian Graham, residing in Reno, Nevada, and several family members, including his aunt and uncle, JoAnn and Ron Ciemny, both of Woodland, as well as cousins Vivian Lee (married to Tim Fowler), Lori Schwabenland (married to Greg), and Wesley Lee (married to Michelle).

A gathering in memory of Bob Buchanan will be organized at a later date, allowing family and friends to honor his life and contributions. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to pay tribute are encouraged to consider planting a living memorial in his name.
