Community Remembers S. Chris “Sonny” Nicosia After His Passing

S. Chris “Sonny” Nicosia, aged 86, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. He was a well-known figure in the local community, remembered for his contributions as a businessman and public servant. Nicosia’s life was marked by a strong commitment to his family and community, which will be deeply missed.

Nicosia was preceded in death by his children, Bobby, Dawn, and Kristi, as well as his sister, Tanny Armstrong. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Roxanne Nicosia, and their daughter, Lynne Nicosia. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Bob Pasiuk (Laura), Andrea Perzichilli (Marco), Chris Pasiuk (Alison), Sonnie Mason, Nick Montanari (Meredith), Nate Montanari (Corionna), and Thomas Nicosia. His family also includes his sister, Debbie Armstrong, and brother, John, along with many relatives and friends who cherished him.

Legacy of Public Service and Business Acumen

Throughout his life, Nicosia owned and operated several businesses, establishing a reputation for entrepreneurship in the St. Paul area. He served as a member of the St. Paul City Council during the 1980s and was involved with the St. Paul Port Authority. His dedication to public service and community development was evident in the many initiatives he supported.

Nicosia had a passion for outdoor activities and was known for his love of traveling, golfing, and watching NASCAR. His appreciation for spending time at the family cabin and enjoying gatherings with friends and family highlighted his commitment to building lasting relationships.

Caring Community Support

The family expressed gratitude for the compassionate care provided by Lakeview Hospice and Care Apparent during Nicosia’s later years. They extend heartfelt thanks to all who visited and supported him, offering love and assistance.

A service to celebrate Nicosia’s life will be held on December 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center located at 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, Minnesota. Attendees are invited to join the family for a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Nicosia’s legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, as he is remembered for his contributions to his family, community, and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
