The “Dinner in the Sky” event, which originated in Belgium in 2006, is now being hosted at the Nakanoshima Gate South Pier in Nishi ward. This aerial restaurant, offering a limited-time engagement, will remain open until December 28, 2023.
Dinner in the Sky has gained international acclaim, having been held over 10,000 times across 65 countries, including notable locations such as Britain and India. Following a successful run in Tokyo from March to May, Osaka marks the second city in Japan to host this distinctive culinary event.
Guests at Dinner in the Sky are seated at a table equipped with 22 built-in chairs, securely fastened with seat belts to ensure safety during the experience. Diners can indulge in light meals and alcoholic beverages while enjoying breathtaking views of the city. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, and the first of six daily sessions kicks off at 16:00.
Reservations are mandatory, with prices ranging from 22,000 yen (approximately $142.55) to 28,000 yen. This unique offering not only provides a thrilling dining environment but also aims to elevate the culinary experience to new heights—literally.
