Serial Slasher Strikes Again: Three Attacks in 24 Hours

URGENT UPDATE: A serial slasher is on the loose in Brooklyn after carrying out three unprovoked attacks in just 24 hours, leaving local residents on edge. The NYPD is actively searching for the suspect, who has been linked to multiple assaults on unsuspecting victims in the area.

The first incident occurred on Saturday, October 21, at approximately 6:30 a.m. when the assailant slashed a 37-year-old man on the left side of the face aboard a Manhattan-bound Q train near the Church Ave. subway stop in Flatbush. The victim managed to escape and alert authorities as the suspect remained on the train, continuing his rampage.

In a shocking escalation, the slasher struck again later that same day at 9:40 p.m., targeting a 53-year-old man near Foster and New York Aves., roughly a mile and a half from the earlier attack. Just hours later, at 6:55 a.m. on Sunday, October 22, he assaulted a 56-year-old man in a similar fashion, a block away from his previous victim.

All three victims were transported to Kings County Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition, but the psychological impact of these attacks is significant. Local law enforcement has ramped up their efforts, canvassing multiple blocks in Flatbush as they search for the suspect.

Witnesses describe the assailant as wearing a navy blue jacket, black shorts, and white sneakers. The NYPD has released a surveillance image of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities are particularly concerned as these attacks come on the heels of a recent subway incident where a 30-year-old man was arrested for stabbing a 51-year-old man during an argument on a D train in Manhattan on October 16. The suspect in that case has been charged and is currently held on Rikers Island.

The community is urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Those with information can contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, where all calls will remain confidential.

As the search continues, residents are reminded to remain cautious while using public transportation. The urgency of this situation cannot be understated; the safety of commuters hangs in the balance as police work tirelessly to apprehend this dangerous individual.
