Moscow’s Iconic Broiler Restaurant Set to Reopen January 9

URGENT UPDATE: The beloved Broiler restaurant is making a highly anticipated return to Moscow on January 9, 2024. This iconic dining establishment, which delighted patrons from 1970 to 2014, will reopen its doors in the Best Western Plus University Inn, reigniting a cherished local tradition.

Kris Raasch, the restaurant’s manager, shared that the Broiler was once a “big staple” in Moscow, and its closure left a significant void in the community. “When it did close, it was a big loss,” Raasch stated, underscoring the restaurant’s historical importance to the area.

Located in the dining area across from the hotel’s Seasons Public House, the Broiler promises a fresh dining experience featuring a rotating menu of fish, steaks, and wines sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Guests can expect a shared dining atmosphere with dishes served a la carte, aiming to create a communal experience.

The Broiler will operate on Fridays and Saturdays from 5-9 p.m., providing an inviting environment for both locals and visitors. In a special preview for eager diners, the restaurant will offer a sold-out New Year’s Eve dinner today, allowing guests to sample what’s to come.

Prior to its closure in 2014, the Best Western was home to three restaurants: The Pantry, The Broiler, and Seasons. Following renovations, The Pantry and The Broiler were transformed into meeting spaces and breakfast areas, leaving a gap in the local dining scene that many have been hoping to fill.

As excitement builds for the reopening, the Broiler aims to reclaim its status as a community favorite. For more updates on this developing story, stay tuned as the January 9 launch approaches!
