Four Shot in Lakeview Near Wrigley Field, Urgent Police Search Ongoing

URGENT UPDATE: Four people were shot early Sunday morning on Clark Street in Lakeview, just blocks away from Wrigley Field. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. when an unknown assailant exited a white pickup truck and opened fire on the group, according to police reports.

The victims, aged between 25 and 29, sustained varying injuries. A 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old man both suffered gunshot wounds to their arms, while a 29-year-old woman was shot in the leg. They were transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital and are currently in fair condition. A 25-year-old man was also hurt, suffering a shoulder injury, and was taken to Thorek Memorial Hospital, where he remains under care.

The shooting took place near Al’s Beef at 3420 N. Clark St., a popular local spot frequented by many. Police have confirmed that the shooter fled the scene heading northbound, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
