Lake Havasu Knights Shut Out Sierra Linda, Advance in Playoffs

The Lake Havasu High School football team secured a decisive victory in their playoff opener, defeating Sierra Linda High School 35-0 on November 3, 2023. This marked the Knights’ first playoff appearance in three years, demonstrating their significant progress in the competitive landscape of high school football.

The game commenced with a slow first quarter as both teams struggled to gain momentum. However, the Knights quickly found their rhythm in the second quarter. Halo Jump initiated the scoring by connecting with Koen Taylor for the first of his four passing touchdowns. Following this, Jump threw another touchdown pass, this time to Carter Devett, extending the Knights’ lead to 14-0. A rushing touchdown by Brenden Trejo capped off a strong first half, bringing the score to 21-0.

Knights Dominate the Field

The Lake Havasu defense proved formidable throughout the match, effectively neutralizing Sierra Linda’s offensive threats. The Bulldogs, unable to penetrate the Knights’ defense, were held scoreless, a testament to the Knights’ strategic execution on both ends of the field.
