Families Celebrate Holiday Spirit at Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees

Families flocked to Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees on December 6, 2025, to select their ideal holiday tree while enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. The farm, located in the Zumbro Valley, has been a cherished destination for the community for a decade, providing a festive atmosphere and a range of tree options including Blue Spruce, White Pine, and Scotch Pine.

Owner Dave Blissenbach shared his inspiration for starting the business, attributing it to his uncle, who has been cultivating Christmas trees near St. Cloud for over fifty years. Blissenbach himself has been planting trees at the farm for the past twenty years. He noted that it typically takes between eight to ten years for a Christmas tree to reach full maturity.

“Many of our customers have been with us since the beginning,” Blissenbach said. “We watch young families grow, and each year their children get a little bigger. It’s rewarding to help them create lasting memories while they pick their Christmas tree.”

Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees is open on Saturdays and Sundays through December 14, 2025, allowing families ample time to visit and partake in the holiday festivities. The combination of selecting the perfect tree and enjoying seasonal treats makes for a delightful experience that resonates with many returning customers.

As the holiday season approaches, the farm’s atmosphere is filled with joy and excitement. Families often share stories and laughter, creating a sense of community that enhances the tree-picking experience. According to Blissenbach, “Everybody’s always in a good mood when they’re getting a Christmas tree, and it’s just a lot of fun to be a part of that.”

The Zumbro Valley Christmas Trees has established itself as a local tradition, embodying the spirit of the holidays and the importance of family gatherings. With its rich history and commitment to quality, the farm continues to be a beloved spot for those looking to celebrate the season.
