Robert G. “Bob” Johnson, a beloved member of the Little Canada community, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on November 20, 2025. Survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Linda Johnson, and their three sons, Todd, Troy, and Derek, Johnson’s life was marked by family, community service, and a passion for sports.
Bob grew up on the East Side of St. Paul, where he developed a love for hockey while playing for Johnson High School. Following his education, he built a successful career in the printing industry, demonstrating a commitment to his work and community. For over 20 years, he volunteered with the Little Canada Fire Department, where he held various service positions and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Johnson’s dedication extended beyond his professional life. He was a devoted family man who cherished watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, particularly hockey. His enthusiasm for the game was matched only by his enjoyment of the numerous days spent on the golf course, where he created lasting memories with family and friends.
A celebration of Johnson’s life is scheduled to take place at the Little Canada Fire Department on December 27, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00. A short program is planned for 15:30, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to pay their respects and share their memories of a man who touched many lives.
Johnson leaves behind not only his wife Linda and sons Todd, Troy, and Derek but also his brother, Charles “Chuck” Johnson, as well as grandchildren Aaron, Abby, Jack, Bria, Bailey, Kennedy, and Cullen, and great-grandchildren Marley and Maverick. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew him.
The community of Little Canada mourns the loss of a remarkable individual whose contributions will not be forgotten.
