Free Spay/Neuter Clinic Opens in Austin – November 13-17, 2025

UPDATE: A FREE spay/neuter clinic is now open for pets in Austin and Travis County, running from November 13 through November 17, 2025. This collaborative effort between Austin Animal Services and Greater Good Charities aims to alleviate the financial burden many pet owners face while addressing the urgent issue of animal overpopulation.

The clinic provides essential services, including spay/neuter procedures, free vaccinations, microchips, and flea/tick prevention—ALL at no cost. The initiative is designed to help the approximately 1,200 pets expected to benefit from this event, following a successful track record of offering surgeries to over 5,000 animals in previous clinics this year.

“We’re committed to ensuring every pet owner—regardless of income—has access to critical services that keep pets healthy and communities safe,” stated Rolando Fernandez, Interim Director of Animal Services. His remarks highlight the city’s dedication to responsible pet ownership and community welfare.

Pet owners are strongly encouraged to arrive early at the clinic, located at 11580 Stonehollow Dr., Suite 160, Austin, TX 78758. Registration begins at 6:00 AM daily, concluding by 10:00 AM or until capacity is reached. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and the demand is expected to be high.

This is the sixth clinic of its kind this year, responding to the persistent challenge of stray and homeless animals in the area. The initiative not only aims to reduce the number of unintended litters but also to improve the overall safety of neighborhoods plagued by roaming animals.

As the city prepares for another event in early 2026, this clinic reflects a broader commitment to ensuring that every pet receives the quality care it deserves. The emotional impact on pet owners and their furry companions is profound, as this initiative promotes health, safety, and responsible pet ownership.

In an era where veterinary costs can be overwhelming, this clinic provides a vital lifeline to the community. Residents are urged to spread the word and share this opportunity with fellow pet owners to ensure every animal can benefit from these life-saving services.

Stay tuned for updates as this event unfolds, and be part of a movement that champions the rights of pets in Austin.
