Authorities confirmed that Tran, aged 51, was arrested on October 12, 2023, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and providing alcohol to someone under 21.
Police reported that Tran knowingly allowed an open house party at her Chestnut Avenue home, creating a dangerous environment for several minors. Despite this, prosecutors announced on Monday that they would not proceed with charges, citing that “evidence at trial will not overcome one or more affirmative defenses.” Details regarding these defenses remain unclear.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on October 11, when Winter Park police received calls about minors who were “falling down drunk” at Tran’s residence.
