According to Sgt. Michael Williams of the Manchester Police Department, a 77-year-old Manchester man was driving west on Center Street when he collided with a 32-year-old woman also from Manchester. The severity of her injuries necessitated her transport to Hartford Hospital, although her current condition remains unclear.

The driver remained at the scene and is reported to be “cooperating fully with investigators,” as the police department’s Traffic Unit continues to probe the circumstances surrounding the crash.
