Carleen Ronchetti, 74, Passes Away; Memorial Service Scheduled

UPDATE: Carleen J. Ronchetti, a beloved member of the Duluth community, has passed away at the age of 74 on October 3, 2025. Her peaceful departure marks a significant loss for family, friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her career in nursing and education.

Born on August 1, 1951, in Duluth, Carleen dedicated her life to nursing, graduating from Virginia High School in 1969 and earning her nursing degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1973. She later advanced her education with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota in 1986. Her commitment to healthcare and teaching was evident in her passion for instilling good bedside manners in her nursing students.

Carleen married Michael Ronchetti in 1974, and together they built a family. She is survived by her children Brent and Kristin Ronchetti, along with grandchildren Jesse Thompson Jr. and Julia Boulley, and numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family and community will continue to resonate deeply.

Visitation for Carleen will take place on November 7, 2025, from 11 AM until the start of the memorial service at Noon at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 1325 North 45th Ave. E., Duluth, MN. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard in recognition of her family’s service.

The community is encouraged to come together to celebrate Carleen’s life, share memories, and honor her contributions to nursing and education.
