Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Osceola County will conduct an Ag Pest Control Continuing Instruction Course on November 19, 2023. The event is scheduled from 09:00 to 11:30 at 121 Ninth St., Suite B, in Sibley, Iowa. This program is organized by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program, aiming to enhance the knowledge and skills of commercial pesticide applicators.
Preregistration for the course is recommended, as walk-in attendance may not guarantee admission. Participants registering before November 12 can benefit from a discounted registration fee. Course Details and Curriculum
The Ag Pest Control course will provide continuing instruction credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, and 1C. The curriculum covers essential topics, including pesticide use and its environmental impact, interpreting pesticide labels, and effective pest management strategies. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to earn Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Continuing Education Units, emphasizing the importance of professional development in this field.
