Bryan Edward Carpentier, 81, Passes Away; Memorial Service Set

URGENT UPDATE: Bryan Edward Carpentier, a beloved community figure and veteran, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on October 16, 2025, in Iron River, Wisconsin, surrounded by his family. His death marks the loss of a kind-hearted man known for his creativity and generosity, a figure who profoundly impacted the lives of many.

Carpentier was born in Southington, Connecticut, and was the eldest of five siblings. He is survived by his girlfriend, Margie, and his children, Robert, David, and Wendy, along with his cherished grandchildren, Zoe, Kayla, Jacob, Skylar, Zachary, Rylee, and McKenzie. His family meant everything to him, and he dedicated much of his life to supporting their activities, whether it was coaching or simply being present.

Carpentier served his country with pride for over 26 years in the U.S. Air Force and the 148th Fighter Wing Minnesota Air National Guard. His commitment to his community was equally remarkable, highlighted by his extensive involvement in local organizations and his church. For more than 54 years, he was an active member of the Trinity Free Masonic Lodge #282 and contributed greatly to the Shriners International organization.

One of his most notable contributions was his dedicated volunteer work at the Bentleyville City of Duluth Holiday Lights Display, where he was a key member of the Electrical, Santa, and Marketing teams for over 17 years. His efforts brought joy to countless families during the holiday season, reflecting his commitment to spreading happiness and goodwill.

A full military honors memorial service is scheduled for October 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM at the AAD Shrine Meeting & Event Center in Hermantown, MN.
