The global bakery chain Paris Baguette has announced plans to open two new locations in the North Bay region of California within the next year. The French-style bakery and pastry shop, which currently operates a site at 150 Steele Lane in Santa Rosa, will expand its presence with new outlets in Novato and Vallejo.
The Novato location will be situated at 15 Rowland Way and is currently under construction, with an anticipated opening this summer, as stated by Krystie Keith, the company’s director of franchise development. The Vallejo store, planned for 1178 Admiral Callaghan Lane, is projected to open in 2027.
Paris Baguette, owned by South Korea’s SPC Group, specializes in a range of French-inspired products including breads, pastries, cakes, and sandwiches. Founded in 1988, the chain has grown to include over 4,000 locations worldwide, with a significant presence in North America.
The company has experienced rapid expansion, having opened 77 new bakery cafes in 2025, executed more than 100 lease agreements, and awarded nearly 300 development contracts. According to the latest data, Paris Baguette ranks No. 29 on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list for 2026, securing the top position in the bakery cafe category.
CEO Darren Tipton emphasized the company’s commitment to growth and community engagement, stating, “We’re committed to continued growth as we work to reestablish the neighborhood bakery cafe as the heart of the community in markets nationwide.” This expansion marks a significant step in strengthening its foothold in the competitive bakery sector, as it aims to cater to the tastes and preferences of local consumers.
With the announcement of these new locations, Paris Baguette is poised to enhance its brand presence in the North Bay, offering residents a taste of its renowned pastries and café experience. As construction progresses, the anticipation for the new Novato location continues to build, promising a vibrant addition to the local culinary scene.
