Core Solutions Unveils DSP Assist App to Enhance IDD Care

Core Solutions, a leader in technology solutions for the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) sector, has announced the launch of the DSP Assist mobile application. Released on February 26, 2026, the app aims to improve service delivery by direct support professionals (DSPs) while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

DSP Assist is built to provide real-time visibility and oversight into the work performed by DSPs. It integrates seamlessly with Core Solutions’ Cx360 Enterprise EHR, allowing organizations to meet essential requirements such as electronic visit verification (EVV), documentation, and data access. The app is designed to facilitate care delivery while safeguarding sensitive information and enhancing organizational accountability.

The mobile application requires DSPs to clock in at the service location prior to accessing any information or documentation related to the individuals they serve. At the moment of clock-in, the system captures GPS coordinates, enabling IDD organizations to validate the services rendered and minimize risks associated with documentation that may occur outside of designated settings.

Once logged in, DSPs can access their schedules, individual-specific tools, and necessary documentation workflows directly from the app. DSP Assist supports a variety of key service delivery activities, including time tracking, medication administration, behavioral assessments, goal tracking, daily notes, and navigation—all designed to mirror real-world IDD care workflows.

Streamlining Operations and Enhancing Accountability

Data entered through DSP Assist syncs back to the Cx360 Enterprise in real time, creating a unified source of truth and eliminating the need for disconnected systems or duplicate data entry. The application also maintains functionality in environments with limited or no connectivity, allowing DSPs to document care without interruption. Once connectivity is restored, the data automatically syncs back to the enterprise system.

Access to sensitive information is restricted until staff are clocked in at the appropriate service location. This feature helps protect personal health information (PHI) and reduces unnecessary exposure of sensitive data.

Michael Arevalo, PsyD, Director of Clinical Strategy at Core Solutions, stated, “DSP Assist addresses one of the most persistent challenges in IDD care: ensuring services are delivered, documented, and billed accurately while protecting the information of the people DSPs support.” He emphasized that the application not only enhances accountability and compliance but also equips DSPs with practical tools that align with their daily workflows.

The app is designed for IDD provider organizations that seek greater operational control, improved documentation accuracy, and confidence in compliance without adding to the burdens faced by DSPs. With DSP Assist, organizations can gain clearer visibility into service delivery, bolstering their confidence in billing and compliance, while ensuring a stronger alignment between daily DSP activities and enterprise records.

Organizations interested in learning more about DSP Assist can schedule a demonstration to see the application in action.
