A significant contribution from the Auxiliary to the SSM Health Foundation – Southern Illinois has enhanced the capabilities of the Emergency Department at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. The donation includes four state-of-the-art workstations on wheels, each valued at $7,000. These mobile units facilitate charting and support clinicians in providing timely care in a high-pressure environment.
According to a news release from SSM Health, the workstations help medical staff maintain efficiency and focus on patient care. Lori Scott, the Emergency Department Director, expressed her gratitude for the donation, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for this gift from the Foundation. These workstations have made a tremendous difference for our team, allowing us to stay mobile, efficient, and focused on patient care.” Scott emphasized that this support directly improves the experience for every patient who enters the facility.
The SSM Health Foundation – Southern Illinois remains committed to advancing healthcare in the region. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, the foundation ensures that caregivers are equipped with essential tools to deliver exceptional service to the communities they serve.
The donation of these workstations is part of a broader initiative to enhance healthcare delivery in Southern Illinois.
