A recent release of documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein has uncovered emails that suggest a connection between him and Steve Tisch, the owner of the New York Giants. The emails, which originate from 2013, are part of a larger cache of over 3.5 million pages made public by the Department of Justice on November 19. These exchanges provide a glimpse into Epstein’s discussions regarding introductions between Tisch and various women.
The correspondence, first reported by the New York Times, includes a June 10, 2013, email where Tisch inquired about a woman Epstein referred to as “Emily.” Tisch’s question about whether she was a “working girl” prompted a brief response from Epstein, who simply replied: “Nwver.” This interaction was part of a broader conversation that Epstein characterized as “confidential,” which began earlier that spring.
In an email dated April 26, 2013, Tisch mentioned a woman he had met during a lunch arranged by Epstein. “I just had lunch with your assistant’s friend who I met at your house Wed morning,” Tisch wrote. He described her as a “very sweet girl” and sought further information. Epstein responded with a lengthy message, assuring Tisch that he would inquire about the woman while emphasizing the confidentiality of their discussion.
In another part of the correspondence, Tisch expressed curiosity about a woman referred to as the “Ukrainian Girl.” He asked Epstein for more details, to which Epstein responded by questioning whether the woman was a professional or not. “I will contact ..pro or civilian?” Epstein asked, illustrating the nature of their discussions. He later noted the woman’s background and suggested a phone call between Tisch and the woman had gone positively.
Epstein remarked, “you did very well,” and mentioned that the woman wanted to attend a play, highlighting the complexities of their interactions. Tisch’s response included humor, acknowledging Epstein’s comment about her being “freaked by the age difference.”
Following the release of the emails, Tisch confirmed that he had indeed exchanged messages with Epstein but stressed that he never acted on any of the introductions made. He stated, “We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments.” Tisch also emphasized that he did not accept any invitations from Epstein and never visited Epstein’s private island.
Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His association with various high-profile individuals has raised significant scrutiny and led to ongoing discussions about personal responsibility and accountability. The release of these emails adds another layer to the complex narrative surrounding Epstein’s life and relationships.
