The third annual Tiptoes & Tuxedos event successfully raised $11,773 for the Ephraim McDowell Kids Can Do Pediatric Therapy Center Fund. The gala took place on January 16, 2026, at the Danville Country Club, highlighting the strong community spirit of Danville, Kentucky. Partnered with Chick-fil-A Danville, the event attracted over 200 fathers and daughters, all coming together to support pediatric therapy initiatives.
Tiptoes & Tuxedos has quickly become a cherished tradition for families in the region. The evening was filled with lively music from a DJ, special guest appearances, and an overall atmosphere of joy and connection.
Nick Spoonmore, Administrator of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, emphasized the event’s significance, stating, “Tiptoes & Tuxedos is designed to spotlight the father-daughter relationship, while also allowing Ephraim McDowell Health to strengthen our connection with the families we serve.” He noted that the proceeds from the event exemplify the concept of families helping families.
The event is more than just a dance; it aims to create meaningful moments while enhancing the health and well-being of the community. Brandie James, Philanthropy Coordinator at the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation, remarked, “Seeing the continued growth of this event and the generosity of our attendees reminds us how powerful community support can be.”
Proceeds from the gala directly benefit the Ephraim McDowell Kids Can Do Pediatric Center. These funds are crucial for supporting various pediatric therapy and enrichment programs, including Camp Can Do and Buddies and Beyond. Such initiatives provide inclusive and supportive experiences for children and their families throughout the region.
The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation extended its gratitude to its generous sponsors and partners, which include Premier Partners for 2026: Farmers National Bank and Danville Office Equipment; Presenting Sponsor: Chick-fil-A Danville; and Event Sponsors: Air Evac Lifeteam, Doodles and Dots, and Sweets by Cindy. Special recognition also went to Kentucky Trust Company as the Foundation Champion and various other sponsors for their commitment to this community event.
Looking ahead, plans for next year’s Tiptoes & Tuxedos are already underway, with hopes for even greater participation and impact. The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation operates as a non-profit organization, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to funding projects within the Ephraim McDowell Health system and the surrounding communities.
