Witnesses reported hearing gunfire near 289 Beach 14th St., prompting a swift response from the NYPD and officers from the 101st Precinct. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and arm. He was quickly transported to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
