Bandfest Day 2 Thrills with Top Marching Bands Ahead of Rose Parade

UPDATE: Day 2 of Bandfest, the highly anticipated prelude to the Rose Parade, concluded with spectacular performances from top marching bands at Pasadena City College on December 30, 2025. As the clock ticks down to New Year’s Day, excitement is surging among spectators and participants alike.

The 45th annual Bandfest showcased an impressive array of 19 marching bands from across the globe, delivering thunderous sounds and vibrant displays that captivated audiences at Robinson Stadium. The event has become a hallmark of the holiday season, drawing fans of all ages eager to witness the spectacle before the iconic Rose Parade.

Today’s lineup included remarkable performances from bands such as the Allen Eagle Escadrille from Texas, the Homewood Patriot Band from Alabama, and the Indiana University Marching Hundred. Each group brought their unique flair, combining music with dynamic visual artistry that left the crowd cheering for more.

In the first session, the audience was treated to performances by:
Pasadena City College Herald Trumpets
Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band
Greendale High School Marching Band from Wisconsin
Bands of America Honor Band from Indiana
Arcadia Apache Marching Band and Color Guard from California

The second session featured even more exciting acts, including:
Franklin High School Marching Band from Tennessee
Pride of Clover Marching Band from South Carolina
Mino Jiyu Gakuen “Golden Bears” Green Band from Japan
United States Marine Corps West Coast Composite Band

Master of Ceremonies Jim Hahn, Music Committee Advisor, praised the dedication and talent of each group, stating,
