Radius Global Appoints Laura Fernandez as Chief Strategy Officer

Radius Global Infrastructure, Inc. has appointed Laura Fernandez as its new chief operating and strategy officer. This strategic move aims to enhance the company’s execution as demand increases in the global digital infrastructure sector. The announcement was made by Scott G. Bruce, the Chief Executive Officer, who emphasized that Fernandez will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Leadership Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CEO, Fernandez will oversee global operations and strategy, focusing on identifying new business opportunities. She will also align enterprise priorities to foster sustainable value creation. Based in London, Fernandez will collaborate closely with executive and senior leadership teams across various regions as the company seeks to expand its services to network operators, tower companies, and other digital infrastructure customers.

In his statement, Bruce expressed confidence in Fernandez’s capabilities, noting her unique blend of operational leadership, financial expertise, and extensive knowledge of the sector. He believes her experience in the telecom and digital infrastructure ecosystem will enable Radius Global to better align with customer needs in an increasingly competitive and capital-intensive market.

Extensive Experience in the Digital Infrastructure Sector

Fernandez brings with her 25 years of international experience across Europe, Latin America, and North America. Before joining Radius Global, she served as the chief executive officer of Ontix, a UK-based private equity-backed digital infrastructure company. Her previous roles include senior leadership positions at Telefonica, where she was finance director for operations and transformation and head of strategic planning at O2 in the United Kingdom. Additionally, she served as group financial controller and head of investments at Telefonica Europe and held a non-executive director position at Cornerstone.

The appointment of Fernandez comes at a time when Radius Global operates in a sector marked by sustained growth. Wireless carriers, data providers, and cloud-driven businesses are investing heavily in connectivity and network densification. The company views Fernandez’s leadership as crucial to maintaining disciplined execution and a customer-centric strategy as it embarks on its next phase of expansion.

As the digital infrastructure landscape continues to evolve, Radius Global Infrastructure appears well-positioned to leverage Fernandez’s expertise to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
