Anson Mount Sends Thanksgiving Greetings as Filming Nears End

BREAKING: As filming for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds approaches its conclusion, lead actor Anson Mount has shared a heartfelt Thanksgiving message with fans. The production is set to wrap soon, with only the sixth and final episode remaining to be filmed by December 2025.

In a touching Instagram video, Mount expressed his gratitude while heading to the set in Toronto, Canada, where the series is filmed at CBS Stages Mississauga. He shared a brief hug with co-star Jess Bush before joining producing director Chris Fisher on set.

Despite the Thanksgiving holiday, the cast and crew are hard at work, as Canadian Thanksgiving was celebrated in October. Mount, who looked noticeably more refreshed than in his previous video, plans to return home to Nashville, Tennessee, for a belated Thanksgiving celebration before resuming filming on Monday.

At the recent ST: CHI – Trek to Chicago convention, co-star Christina Chong shared her mixed emotions about the show’s nearing completion, stating, “It’s bittersweet… we’re about to start shooting the last episode of Strange New Worlds. How crazy is that?”

While filming is concluding, fans can look forward to more content from the franchise. Paramount+ has already renewed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for a fifth season, projected to premiere in 2027, following the release of the fourth season expected in 2026. This means 16 new episodes are still on the horizon for eager fans.

Stay tuned for more updates as the production wraps up and look out for Anson Mount’s upcoming projects, which are sure to keep the momentum going for the beloved Star Trek franchise.
