The Wyoming Valley Art in the Garden Exhibition is ongoing at the Schulman Gallery in Nanticoke, showcasing stunning creations from the recent Back Mountain Gardens tour. In a timely Halloween celebration, the Wyoming Valley Stamp Club is hosting a special event at Hoyt Library in Kingston on Saturday, October 25, at 1 p.m. The program will feature a children’s Trick or Treat table, spooky stamp displays, and a haunted library exhibition. Families are welcome to join the fun and explore the world of stamp collecting!
Additionally, a Prescription Drug Take Back drive-thru event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the rear parking lot of the Luzerne County Courthouse. This vital initiative, organized by the Luzerne/Wyoming Counties Drug and Alcohol Program, aims to promote safe medication disposal. Attendees will receive free Narcan, drug deactivation pouches, and medication lock bags. Parents can also access free child safety seat fittings during the event.
On Sunday, October 26, the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club will host a fashion show and scholarship fundraiser at the Holiday Inn, Wilkes-Barre East Mountain. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. with advance tickets priced at $30, which includes a luncheon. Proceeds will support local scholarships.
Mark your calendars for the Domestic Violence Service Center’s fundraiser, “A Night at Sabatini’s,” scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, offering unlimited pizza and three drink tickets. This 21-and-older event will also feature a large basket raffle.
