Owensboro Police Department (OPD) detectives are racing against time to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Initial reports indicated multiple gunshots were fired, prompting calls from nearby residents who witnessed a vehicle speeding away from the scene.
A deputy from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was the first to arrive, discovering two sport utility vehicles (SUVs) overturned in a ditch. Eyewitness accounts revealed a chaotic scene, with one man partially ejected from his vehicle and another trapped inside.
“I think it’s safe to say detectives still have more questions than answers,”

Both men were rushed to Owensboro Health with what authorities describe as apparent serious injuries.
