UPDATE: Tickets are now available for the highly anticipated murder mystery dinner theater, “Murder at the Renaissance Faire,” taking place at North County High School on February 6 and 7, 2025. The clock is ticking, and seats are limited to just 75 tickets per night, creating a rush for eager attendees.
At this thrilling event, the drama club, along with the North County Singers, invites audiences to delve into an evening of mystery and entertainment. Doors open for dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by the main performance at 7:00 p.m.. Tickets are priced at only $20 for the dinner-and-show combo or $10 for the performance alone. Grab your tickets at the door or online via the NCHS Drama Facebook page or at https://www.onthestage.tickets/show/nchs-drama1/.
The dinner features a delicious buffet with selections like salad, pasta, build-your-own taco salads, soft tacos, desserts, and drinks, all while enjoying the pre-show musical entertainment in madrigal style. This event marks the drama club’s biggest fundraiser, with proceeds directly supporting future productions and field trips for members.
The plot thickens in “Murder at the Renaissance Faire,” where competition from a neighboring Medieval World threatens the faire’s existence. As the production struggles to attract younger audiences, a storm brews, leading to a mysterious murder. With a cast of talented students ready to unravel “whodunnit,” this performance promises suspense and excitement.
The cast is brimming with enthusiasm, with key roles played by Sam Newton as Tom, Madison Carroll as Marghet, and Draegon Stagner as Harris, among others. “As much as I would love to hold this event each year, events of this nature require a lot of planning and preparation,” said theater director Jennifer Stokes.
This immersive experience also offers a chance for attendees to engage with the theme, as actors will don Renaissance attire, and photo opportunities with themed backdrops will be available. Plus, guests can purchase flowers to give to cast and crew, enhancing the event’s interactive atmosphere.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this dinner theater event is not only thrilling but also a perfect date night option. Following this, the NCHS Drama Club will wrap up their season with the classic murder-mystery favorite, “Clue,” based on the popular Hasbro board game, set to perform later in April or May 2025.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to witness a captivating performance while supporting local talent. Get your tickets now and be part of the mystery!
