Two Men Slashed in Early Morning Queens Assault: Police Hunt Attackers

The incident occurred just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, 2023, near Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside, according to law enforcement sources.

The victims, aged 27 and 25, were reportedly attempting to retrieve a two-wheeled device when they were confronted by knife-wielding attackers. Officers from the 108th Precinct responded to a 911 call, discovering the older man suffering from a serious slash wound to the face, while the younger man sustained a slash wound to the neck.

Emergency Medical Services transported the 27-year-old victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. The 25-year-old declined medical assistance on-site, as police scoured the area for evidence. A knife was recovered at the scene, intensifying the urgency of the investigation.
