San Jose Woman Arrested for Murder in Fatal Hit-and-Run

URGENT UPDATE: A 34-year-old woman from San Jose, identified as Yanette Beas Solorio, has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal hit-and-run incident that unfolded just before 7:30 p.m. on November 26, 2023. The tragedy occurred at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way, sending shockwaves through the community.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman lying in the roadway after the collision. Despite the swift response from medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as they work to notify her next of kin.

According to San Jose police, preliminary evidence suggests that the collision was an intentional act, although the exact motives and circumstances remain under investigation. Police Sgt. Jorge Garibay emphasized that authorities are actively examining the details surrounding this tragic event.

Less than two miles from the scene, officers located Beas Solorio, who was subsequently arrested. She is currently being held without bail at the Santa Clara County Jail.
