BREAKING: Sally J. Ifkovits, aged 62, has passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, surrounded by her loving family. This tragic loss comes after a battle with illness, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Sally was married to her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, for an incredible 37 years. Together, they built a family that includes their sons, Riley and Alex, and their cherished grandson, Paxton, who brought her immense joy throughout her life.
Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, Sally was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. Rex. She devoted over 32 years to the People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager, showcasing her commitment and expertise in the financial sector.
Sally is survived by her sons, Riley and wife Kelly, and Alex and wife Anna, along with her beloved grandson Paxton. She leaves behind her brothers, Keith and Kevin Rex, her sister, Susie Weber, and multiple nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her sister Jane and niece Adrienne.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in Sally’s memory.
