Rain is expected to persist primarily until 3 p.m. today, with winds shifting to the north later in the afternoon, slowing to around 7 mph. As night falls, temperatures will plunge to about 32°F, with the NWS advising that cloudy conditions will persist throughout the evening.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday is predicted to remain overcast with temperatures only reaching around 48°F. However, relief is on the horizon: Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 52°F, providing a much-needed break from the dreary weather.
As the new week kicks off, Raleigh can anticipate mostly sunny skies on Monday, albeit with a cooler high of approximately 44°F. Monday night will see clear conditions and temperatures dropping to around 24°F.
From Tuesday through Wednesday, the forecast remains bright with gradual warming expected, reaching a high of near 55°F by midweek. Wednesday night will feature partly cloudy skies, with lows around 41°F.
On Thursday, Raleigh is set to enjoy mostly sunny weather once again with temperatures expected to hover around 54°F. The NWS reassures that clear conditions should continue for the rest of the week.
