JetBlue Opens First Premium Lounge at JFK on December 18

URGENT UPDATE: JetBlue is set to revolutionize air travel with the opening of its first premium lounge, BlueHouse, at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in Terminal 5 on December 18, 2025. This significant launch marks a pivotal moment in JetBlue’s ambitious plan to become a leading premium airline, distinguishing itself from budget carriers like Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.

“This lounge has been years in the making, driven by a passion to create a uniquely JetBlue experience,” said Marty St. George, President of JetBlue. This new space is more than just a lounge; it embodies JetBlue’s commitment to customer-first experiences as part of their JetForward strategy to enhance travel for their passengers.

The 9,000-square foot, two-story BlueHouse lounge is designed to be inviting and stylish, featuring local art, Art Deco elements, and a nostalgic nod to JetBlue’s history. Guests can expect comfort with a cozy, apartment-like atmosphere, highlighted by decorative molding and brass accents.

Food and beverages will be a focal point, with offerings from Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft, and Please Don’t Tell. The menu boasts New York favorites, including bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches with local cheddar in the morning, and pastrami on rye or chicken Caesar wraps later in the day.

In addition to gourmet snacks, BlueHouse will provide essential amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, and designated areas for both work and leisure, including a game room stocked with JetBlue-branded cards, chess, checkers, and children’s toys.

Access to the lounge will be granted to Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers. Qualified guests can bring friends, with the number allowed depending on their membership type and entry cost.

BlueHouse represents just one part of JetBlue’s broader enhancements to the travel experience, which also includes extensive renovations to Terminal 5 — featuring 40 new retailers and amenities — and the rollout of upgraded domestic first-class cabins beginning in 2026. The next BlueHouse location is set to open at Boston Logan International Airport in 2026, further expanding JetBlue’s premium offerings.

Travelers eager to experience this exciting new lounge can mark their calendars for December 18, 2025, and prepare for an elevated travel experience with JetBlue.
