Born on May 15, 1945, in Schenectady, NY, Stark was a proud alumnus of Linton High School and the University of California at Santa Barbara. He pursued a degree in computer science and math from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. Stark served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and was actively deployed in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970, demonstrating his commitment to his country.

Family was at the heart of Bruce’s life. He is survived by his wife Katherine, son Aaron Stark, daughter Rachel Stark Corum (married to Brady Corum), and two grandchildren, Elliot David Corum and Arya Corum.
