URGENT UPDATE: In-N-Out Burger is set to open its first three locations in Tennessee this week, marking a major expansion into the Southeast. The highly anticipated drive-thrus will launch in Lebanon and Antioch on Wednesday, December 10, followed by a third location in Murfreesboro on Friday, December 12.
The excitement surrounding In-N-Out’s debut has reached a fever pitch, with residents eager to experience the iconic burger chain. This expansion will increase In-N-Out’s total restaurant count to 431, officially placing the beloved brand in 10 states including California, Texas, and now Tennessee.
In-N-Out’s leadership is also making significant changes, with plans to relocate its headquarters from Irvine, California, to Baldwin Park and establish an eastern hub in Franklin, Tennessee, by the end of the decade. The new office project, which spans 100,000 square feet, broke ground in September 2024 and is slated to open in 2026.
In mid-July, owner and president Lynsi Snyder stirred media attention when she revealed on a podcast that her family would be moving to Tennessee. “There’s a lot of really great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here,” she stated, igniting a wave of social media reactions. Snyder later clarified that the company would not abandon its California roots.
The managers of the three new Tennessee locations bring over 60 years of combined experience from In-N-Out, ensuring a high standard of service. Starting wages for employees will be $17.50 per hour, a competitive rate compared to California’s starting wages of $22-$23.
The expansion has been in the works since its announcement in January 2023. In-N-Out has ambitious plans for Tennessee, with projections to open as many as 35 locations in the coming years, as reported by The Tennesseean.
In addition to the three new openings, In-N-Out lists another location in Franklin on its website at 1951 Double Double Drive. A California location is also listed for Bell, where a new drive-thru at 6415 Atlantic Ave. is nearing completion, though no official opening date has been announced.
As the excitement builds, the community is buzzing with anticipation for the grand openings. Be sure to stay tuned for updates as In-N-Out prepares to make its mark in Tennessee! For more information, visit in-n-out.com.
