Fergus Falls Woman, 55, Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 210

URGENT UPDATE: A tragic head-on collision in rural Otter Tail County has claimed the life of a 55-year-old Fergus Falls woman. Sandra Marie Olson was driving her 2012 Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Minnesota Highway 210 when the incident occurred at approximately 11:04 a.m. on Saturday, November 1.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Olson’s vehicle drifted into the westbound lane while navigating a curve, resulting in a direct collision with a 1990 Peterbilt truck driven by John Floyd Mayfield, 62, from Perham. Tragically, Olson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Mayfield, fortunately, escaped the incident uninjured.

The crash occurred in Tordenskjold Township, approximately 13 miles east of Fergus Falls. Emergency responders, including the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Ringdahl Ambulance, and the Underwood Fire Department, arrived promptly to assist.
