The sale was finalized on December 22, 2023, marking a pivotal moment for the iconic restaurant located at 1138 Flagstaff Road.
This purchase secures the future of a beloved dining destination perched on the side of Flagstaff Mountain. Adam Monette reassured patrons that the renowned cuisine and exceptional service will continue unchanged. “We wanted to maintain the security of the restaurant and put ourselves in position to provide everything Flagstaff House offers into the foreseeable future,” he stated.
The property was sold by Scott Monette, Adam’s uncle, through his entity FH Partners LLC. This acquisition is a continuation of a family legacy that began in 1971 when Adam’s grandfather, Don Monette, founded the restaurant. After Don’s passing in February 2023, Adam and Chris took over ownership from Don’s sons, Mark and Scott.
With the closing of this deal, Adam and Chris are now positioned to elevate the restaurant’s reputation further. “Obviously this is a risk, but it’s a risk we’re willing to take. We have to earn this more and more through every phase,” Adam said.
The Flagstaff House has received numerous accolades, including being named one of the 15 most beautiful restaurants in the U.S. by Trips to Discover and the only Colorado restaurant in OpenTable’s Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in America last year.
