UPDATE: The latest Bay Area high school football rankings have just been announced, showcasing significant movements among top teams as Week 9 kicks off. Following their impressive performances, teams like California, McClymonds, and Menlo School have all climbed the ranks, creating a buzz among fans and players alike.
California, fresh off a commanding victory against San Ramon Valley with a score of 33-14, has jumped to seventh place in the rankings. Meanwhile, McClymonds surged to eighth after a stunning 43-0 win over Fremont-Oakland. Menlo School, not to be outdone, rolled past Palo Alto 49-6 and has now claimed the ninth spot.
The top six teams remained unchanged: De La Salle, Archbishop Riordan, Pittsburg, Acalanes, Serra, and Los Gatos. De La Salle continues to dominate with a record of 7-0, defeating Amador Valley 56-13 last week. They are set to face San Ramon Valley this Friday at 7:15 p.m.
El Cerrito made headlines by jumping four spots to 15th after a decisive 40-14 victory against Salesian. Clayton Valley also entered the Top 20 following a resounding win against Miramonte, showcasing the competitive spirit of Bay Area high school football.
However, not all teams saw positive movement. Lincoln-San Jose fell out of the rankings after losing to Live Oak, while The King’s Academy has now entered the rankings at 23rd after defeating San Mateo 28-14.
