Neon Doctrine Merges with Raw Fury Amid Leadership Changes

Taiwan-based publisher Neon Doctrine is set to merge with its sister company Raw Fury as part of a significant restructuring initiative. Co-founder Iain Garner announced the merger on LinkedIn, where he also revealed his decision to step down as CEO for personal reasons. The merger will see Raw Fury take over management of Neon Doctrine’s catalogue, which has been instrumental in supporting over 30 games since its inception.

In his announcement, Garner reflected on the growth of Neon Doctrine over the past decade, stating, “Over the past 10 years, Neon Doctrine has grown from three people working out of my kitchen in China to becoming a global publisher, supporting more than 30 incredible games and collaborating with talented developers around the world.” He expressed pride in the achievements of the company and gratitude toward everyone involved in this journey.

While the merger signals the end of Neon Doctrine in its current form, Garner reassured stakeholders that the games will thrive under the stewardship of Raw Fury. “I know our games are in excellent hands with Raw Fury and will continue to thrive as part of their ecosystem,” he added.

In a separate statement, Vlad Tsõpljak, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Neon Doctrine, announced that he would also leave the company. He emphasized that the decision was not made lightly, stating, “After long, deep discussions, Iain and I concluded this was the best path forward.” Tsõpljak is confident that this move will ensure that the games they developed are supported and celebrated in the years to come.

Founded in 2015, Neon Doctrine has established itself as a prominent player in the gaming industry, particularly in the Southeast Asia and Taiwan markets. The company is owned by its parent organization, Combined Effect.

This merger reflects a broader trend in the gaming industry, where companies are increasingly consolidating resources to enhance their competitive edge and streamline operations. The transition is expected to unfold smoothly, with Raw Fury poised to integrate Neon Doctrine’s impressive roster of titles into its offerings.

As the gaming landscape continues to evolve, stakeholders within the industry will be watching closely to see how this merger shapes the future of both companies and the games they represent.
