The celebration coincides with the tenth anniversary of Texas 2036, a nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of Texans through data-driven solutions.
Population Growth and Economic Expansion
Texas has experienced remarkable growth, with a population now exceeding 31 million and an economy surpassing $2.7 trillion. Nearly one in ten Americans now calls Texas home. This surge is evident in North Texas, where corporate relocations, workforce expansion, and infrastructure investments reflect both the promise and the pressures of rapid development.
However, this growth has not come without challenges. As the state grew, issues such as water supply constraints, strained infrastructure, and rising healthcare costs have emerged. The question facing Texas is not just how to accommodate growth but whether the opportunities it creates will be accessible to all residents.
The Role of Texas 2036
