Red Bluff High School’s Elli Nolan Named Rotary Student of the Month

Red Bluff High School junior Elli Nolan has been honored as the Red Bluff Rotary Student of the Month for October 2023. The selection recognizes her academic achievements and personal character, as stated by the Rotary Club. Nolan aims to pursue a career in the medical field, specifically working with children.

Nolan’s diverse interests range from playing softball to baking, and she actively engages in various school activities. Her teachers commend her dedication and enthusiasm in the classroom. Dan Penner, one of her teachers, remarked on her bright and energetic presence, noting that she consistently comes prepared and eager to learn.

“She helps those around her and is a real asset to me and her peers,” Penner added, highlighting her collaborative spirit.

Another teacher, Dave Michael, who teaches science at Red Bluff High School, praised Nolan for exceeding expectations. “Elli is a true pleasure to have in class. She goes above and beyond with her insights and thoroughness,” Michael stated. He further emphasized her positive attitude, saying, “Her smile and energy make the class better.”

Teacher Alisa Pelanconi also spoke highly of Nolan, describing her as extraordinarily organized and consistently bringing her best self to class. “She has a great sense of humor and enhances the learning environment for both teachers and students,” Pelanconi noted.

As part of the recognition, Nolan will receive a framed certificate along with a $100 check from the Rotary Club. This accolade not only celebrates her academic accomplishments but also her contributions to the school community.

The Red Bluff Rotary Club continues to support local students, emphasizing the importance of leadership and community service. Nolan’s selection reflects the club’s commitment to recognizing outstanding youth in the area.
