Celebrating the Life of Patricia Lois Tiller: A Journey of Adventure

Patricia Lois Tiller, a resident of St. Paul, Minnesota, and formerly of Princeton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on October 29, 1924, Pat led a vibrant life filled with diverse experiences and interests that spanned both her professional and personal endeavors.

Throughout her career, Tiller held a variety of roles that showcased her adaptability and commitment. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide, Bank Teller, Keypunch Operator, and even served as a Civil Servant for the U.S. Army in Germany, where she maintained a Top Secret Clearance. Her professional journey reflects her dedication to service and community.

Tiller was also an avid traveler, exploring numerous countries including Russia, Iceland, and the Panama Canal. She participated in many Elder Hostel retreats, now known as Road Scholar, and enjoyed time-share vacations with friends, enriching her life through shared experiences and cultural exchanges.

Passions and Hobbies

A woman of many talents, Pat actively engaged in various clubs and activities. She was a member of the Red Hot Peppers (Red Hats), the Swiss Society, and hiking clubs in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Her hobbies included golf, bowling, bridge, and Scrabble, as well as crosswords and jumble puzzles. Tiller also enjoyed square dancing, hiking, and playing Mah Jong.

Her musical skills extended to the harmonica and accordion, showcasing her creative side. A lover of animals, she cherished her cats and dogs. Tiller was also known for her enthusiasm for casinos, live horse racing, and the show Wheel of Fortune, which brought her joy and entertainment.

Pat’s family will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathanel and Hulda; her second child, Kenneth Vrioni Jr.; and her brothers, Glen, Russell, and Lawrence. She is survived by her children, Raymond, Wayne, Barbara, and Paul, as well as her grandson, Nevar, along with several nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

Memorial Services

A memorial service honoring Patricia Lois Tiller will take place on December 22, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 104 So Snelling, St. Paul. The day will begin with a visitation at 10:00, followed by a worship service at 11:00 and a luncheon at 12:00. Burial will follow at Minneola Lutheran Church at 13638 County 50 Blvd, Goodhue, MN.

Patricia Lois Tiller’s remarkable life serves as a testament to the power of adventure, friendship, and family. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
