Ann Martin Schueler, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on April 2, 1937, in Winters, California, to Isabel Rojo and John Gomez Martin, she was the youngest of six children in a loving farming family.
Throughout her life, Ann exemplified devotion and warmth, qualities that defined her long-standing marriage to William Schueler (known as Bill). Together, they built a life full of love and support, which extended to their children and grandchildren. Ann is survived by her son Ronald M. Snodgrass (Colleen) and daughter Nancy Vogt (George), alongside her grandchildren Lindsay Sabotka (Brad) and Olivia Henry (André Slaughter), as well as her great-grandson Luca Slaughter.
Ann’s family was her pride and joy, and she will be deeply missed by her extended family, including her sister-in-law Charlene Martin, numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins. The legacy she leaves behind also includes her stepchildren, Karen Hurst, Rick Peterson (Brenda), William Schueler (Samala), Vaughn Schueler (Debra), Clark Schueler, and Stephen Schueler, along with her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Remembering a Life Full of Love and Family
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband, Bill. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, including Chris, who passed away as an infant, as well as Tony, Fred, John, and Joe. Additionally, she was a beloved daughter-in-law to Naomi Mincer and William Schueler, and a sister-in-law to Betty Jane, Margaret Purdy (Carl), and Don Schueler (Alice). Ann also remembered her stepson Michael Peterson, niece Debbie Sengo (Marty), and great-nephew Adam Davis.
A Catholic Mass in honor of Ann will take place at 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Church in Winters, California. Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall.
