Kristin Cavallari recently shared details about a date she had earlier this year with Will Hardy, the head coach of the Utah Jazz. The outing took place in Nashville, where Hardy traveled specifically to meet the television personality. Despite the excitement surrounding their meeting, sources confirm that it was a brief encounter that did not lead to a continued romantic relationship.
According to information provided exclusively to Us Weekly, Hardy, 37, met Cavallari, 38, several months ago, but their connection did not blossom into anything significant. A source stated, “It was one date and that was it. She never saw him again.”
Cavallari, who has taken a step back from dating in recent months, discussed her experiences on her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest.” In an episode aired in October, she recounted how she felt ready to date again after a period of focusing on her career and family. “I literally said to the universe, ‘I’m ready to go on a date,’” she explained. The very next day, her agent arranged the meeting with Hardy, a suggestion that had previously come from reality TV personality Patti Stanger.
While Cavallari did not initially recognize her date’s significance, she later described him as “a big deal.” She noted that both she and Hardy were represented by CAA, which facilitated their connection. He flew to Nashville for dinner, and Cavallari remarked that he was a “great guy.”
Reflecting on their time together, she stated, “I know after the first date if I’m going to like someone or not. I was trying to make it work, and I kept talking to him, and I was going to see him again, but everything in me was telling me not to.” Cavallari emphasized her belief in following her intuition, saying, “When I’m out of alignment for what is meant for me, everything in my body screams at me.”
This date with Hardy came after Cavallari had announced her intention to pause her dating life earlier this year to concentrate on her work and family. “I was intentional about it because leading up to the podcast tour, I didn’t want any distractions,” she explained. “Then, honestly, it was just kind of nice and I was just in a mode of wanting to be alone.”
Cavallari previously dated Nate Thompson, a retired NHL player, whom she described as “such a good guy” and someone who “checks all the boxes.” Their relationship, characterized by deep connection, ended earlier this year due to the challenges of long-distance.
Cavallari shares three children—Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9—with her ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler. The couple was married from 2013 until their divorce in 2022. Recently, she was also linked to Special Forces contestant and TikToker Mark Estes for about seven months in 2024.
In addition to navigating her personal life, Cavallari is preparing for the upcoming Laguna Beach reunion special, which is set to air next year. Last month, she filmed segments in Orange County, California, alongside former cast members Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti.
While her dating life has not been a focus over the past year, Cavallari expressed enthusiasm about the future, stating, “I don’t know the last time I talked about my dating life. Probably because my dating life was nonexistent this whole year until recently, and now it’s really picked back up. And I’m really excited about it.”
