The Montcalm Area Career Center has recognized two outstanding students for the month of October. Natalie Natvos and Katelyn Eddy have both demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment in their respective programs, earning the title of Students of the Month.
Recognizing Leadership in Agriscience
Natalie Natvos, a senior who is homeschooled, has been honored as the Morning Session Student of the Month. Currently in her second year of the Agriscience Program at the Montcalm Area Career Center, she has emerged as a leader among her peers. This year, Natalie introduced a weekly chore sheet to streamline classroom responsibilities related to plant and animal programs.
Her initiative assigns specific tasks to each student, promoting accountability and teamwork. Additionally, she developed a follow-up process to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately each day. Natalie’s proactive approach has not only enhanced classroom efficiency but has also served as a model for her classmates, illustrating the impact of student-led initiatives.
Exemplifying Commitment in Business Management
On the other hand, Katelyn Eddy, a senior at Central Montcalm High School, has been named the Afternoon Session Student of the Month. Katelyn is also in her second year of the Business Management and Administration Program at the Career Center. Her dedication to the program is evident in her excellent attendance record; she has rarely missed a day of school, even attending classes when her home high school is not in session.
Katelyn is recognized for her willingness to assist her classmates and consistently excels in her role at the school store, known as the MACC SHACC. Her energy and motivation make her a valuable presence in the classroom, contributing positively to the learning environment.
The Montcalm Area Career Center congratulates both Natalie Natvos and Katelyn Eddy for their exceptional achievements and contributions. Their hard work and dedication serve as an inspiration to their peers and highlight the benefits of vocational education.
