Illinois Universities Announce Spring Break Dates for 2024

University students across Illinois are preparing for a well-deserved break as spring break approaches. This annual holiday offers students a chance to recharge before the pressures of final exams. Spring break schedules vary significantly among universities, with breaks occurring from early March to mid-April.

Spring Break Schedules for Major Illinois Universities

Northwestern University will observe its spring break from Saturday, March 21, until Monday, March 30. Students at Illinois State University will have their break earlier, from Saturday, March 7, to Sunday, March 15. Meanwhile, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will hold its spring break from Saturday, March 14, to Sunday, March 22.

The University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University will share similar schedules, both taking a break from Monday, March 23, to Friday, March 27. In contrast, the University of Chicago has a slightly different timetable, with its break occurring between the winter and spring quarters from Sunday, March 15, to Sunday, March 22.
