The Crestwood School District has scheduled kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year, providing essential details for parents of prospective students. Registration will take place at Fairview Elementary on April 7 and April 8, and at Rice Elementary on April 9 and April 10. The registration hours are set from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with the entire enrollment process expected to take approximately one hour.
To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026. Parents are encouraged to bring their child to complete important academic, speech, and vision screenings during the registration process.
In preparation for registration, parents must present several documents. A copy of the child’s birth certificate and current immunization records are required. Additionally, three proofs of residency must be provided, all of which should show the parent’s name and current address. Acceptable documents to establish residency include a copy of the deed to the home, a mortgage document, a sales agreement, or a lease. Parents should also provide two of the following: a homeowner’s or tenant’s insurance statement, a current utility bill, a Pennsylvania driver’s license, vehicle registration, or a property tax bill, among others.
For guardians who do not own or lease their residence but are living with someone who does, it is necessary to submit these documents along with a notarized affidavit. Affidavits are available upon request from the school office.
To streamline the registration process, enrollment packets can be found on the websites of both Fairview Elementary and Rice Elementary. Parents can print the packet and complete the forms at home, which will save time during registration. For those without access to a printer, enrollment packets will also be available on-site during the registration days.
