Keepit Strengthens Global Channel Strategy with New Leadership

Cloud backup and recovery specialist Keepit has launched a revamped global channel organization aimed at enhancing its partner-first strategy. This new structure is intended to accelerate growth within the company’s ecosystem of partners, reinforcing Keepit’s ambition to be recognized as “the most partner-friendly organization in the world.”

The restructured team will be spearheaded by Jan Ursi, who has been appointed as the global vice president of channels. Ursi will oversee strategy, messaging, and coordination across all regions, focusing on partner recruitment, enablement, and pipeline initiatives to support the vendor’s channel-led go-to-market model.

“At Keepit, being partner-friendly isn’t just a slogan — it’s our culture,” Ursi stated. “All functions across the company empower partners with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed, while building relationships based on trust and generosity, not transactions.”

Regional Leadership Expansion

Keepit has designated three regional leaders to oversee its channel activities across Northern Europe, Southern Europe, and the Americas. In Northern Europe, which includes the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Central Eastern Europe, and Benelux, Alex Walsh will serve as the regional vice president of channel for EMEA North. With over 12 years of experience in SaaS and channel leadership roles at companies such as Veeam and AppSense, Walsh aims to strengthen relationships with tier-one value-added resellers (VARs), managed service providers (MSPs), and distributors.

“We’re focused on building strong, valuable partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes for customers and partners alike,” Walsh remarked. “That means clear programs, consistent execution, and close collaboration with partners who want to scale and grow with Keepit.”

In Southern Europe and the DACH region, Cyril VanAgt will take the lead as regional vice president of channel for EMEA South. VanAgt, who has extensive channel expertise from previous roles at Nutanix and NetApp, will implement region-specific campaigns and enhance distribution strategies.

“Our goal is to create an ecosystem of fans and trusted advisors — partners who are confident in our technology, connected to our teams, and excited to grow with us,” VanAgt noted.

Meanwhile, Jill Miracle will direct Keepit’s channel initiatives in the Americas. Her focus will be on sustaining momentum with key partners and reinforcing the company’s commitment to a partner-only model.

“We’re committed to supporting their growth with strong enablement, clear communication, and joint marketing that helps them win,” Miracle explained.

Enhanced Partner Engagement and Future Plans

Keepit asserts that the new consolidated channel structure will simplify partner engagement and facilitate pipeline building while offering a scalable delivery model. The company plans to intensify partner recruitment efforts in 2026, expand certification opportunities, and enhance joint marketing initiatives across priority markets.

“The conditions are in place to build an exceptional partner-friendly organization — probably the most partner-friendly company of the next decade,” Ursi added. “Partners give us extra wind in our sails, help make deals bigger, and bring Keepit to every corner of the world.”

With these strategic changes, Keepit aims to solidify its position as a leading player in cloud backup solutions, ensuring that partners are equipped to deliver superior service and innovation to customers worldwide.
