You made a great impact on the students of Thomasville City Schools.”

Linder, who served for a shorter duration, also received commendations for her valuable insights and contributions. We have learned a lot from you in your short time with us, and we are so thankful for you.”

Acknowledging Leadership and Support

Superintendent Dr. Scott Sweeting echoed the sentiments of appreciation, highlighting the significance of both members’ leadership. “Your leadership, counsel, and steadfast support have helped to advance our district and set the stage for even greater things to come,” he remarked. In recognition of their service, Sumner and Linder were presented with engraved plaques that symbolize their commitment to the Thomasville City Schools System.

Following the meeting, it was announced that Wallace Marsh would be sworn in to replace Sumner at the first meeting of 2026, while Vickie T. Jackson will take over Linder’s position. This transition marks a new chapter for the Thomasville City Schools Board, as it continues to strive for excellence in education.
